Rakhi Sawant and Roger Federer!!!

NOOO!!! They’re related in absolutely no way, so don’t worry! To me, they’re just stuff on TV! :P I’m just addicted to the television (and other such wonderful distractions!) during the exam time! I end up watching all kinds of rubbish.

Well one of the things I stumbled upon was “Rakhi Sawant ka Swayamvar” and all I can say is I’m APPALED! At how ANYONE in the entire world can commercialise, publicise and bring a sacred thing like marriage down to such a CHEAP level. No, really anyone who has seen the show and anybody who thinks it’s the least bit entertaining has to be crazy in the head.

And what’s with the contestants on the show? Who would want to marry Rakhi Sawant. She’s overly dramatic- “Aaj doodh ka doodh or paani ka paani ho gaya” and all that. And not like she’s pretty, she’s exceptionally fake. In every sense of the term and she behaves all coy and all that which she is so NOT. And it’s very evident that she’s a bad mouthed ugly looking cheap female. And the men go all ga-ga about her “main tumhare liye chand taare todke laaonga” and all that… How could marriage be based on who maro-s the most filmy dialogue! These men are so corny, it’s disgusting. It makes me want to throw up.

I don’t want her to be the epitome of the “modern Indian woman!” That’s how she’s portrayed and she behaves like she’s Aishwarya Rai and with all the “I am what I am” attitude She appears nothing short of senile!

And why I had the audacity to mention Roger Federer in the same sentence with Rakhi Sawant?! Cos unfortunately they both appear on the same television set in my house! (Bad joke! :P )

I watched the Wimbledon final last Sunday (despite having an exam the very next day) and oh-my-God what a match. I’ve been watching Tennis for a while now and this arguably was the best match I’ve ever seen. Andy Roddick was such an awesome opponent. I’ve always been a Federer supporter. His level of tennis is a whole class apart, but that day Roddick put up such an amazing show. It was really really gripping. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed the last set of any match going up to 15 points. That was SO awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed the nail-biting game. And sometimes Sport has to be unfair and declare only one winner. Federer deserved it. But Roddick also deserved it.

But Andy Roddick- A true hero. This post dedicated to him!

  1. The real question is…who wants to marry Rakhi Sawant? The answer is ‘no one’.
Then why are so many bozos there ?
Coz they just want their 15 secs of FAME.
Did you catch the news…some Srinagar policeman who was already married had come on the show. And the directors knew about it, but still let him come, and made him reveal it on air at the opportune moment.
Welcome to Indian Reality Television :-)
    Nice blog btw.

  2. Reality shows are no more reality shows. They too are rehearsed and created scenes appear where they are supposed to. Rakhi Sawant is a fake. I dont know why people even bother to watch it. While browsing through channels I saw in Aaj Tak, they were showing the kiss ka kissa. Someone on the show kissed Rakhi and it made to the news!! What a CRAPPY news channel it can be.

And yeah I absolutely LOVE Federer, purely for his game. Classy classy player he is.

      Thanks for stopping by! :)
I didn’t know this piece of information. OMG that’s SO Cheap… and Reality TV is just sucky.
I saw this show about this small kid who was doing a stand up comic act… It was looking so crass. That child was behaving in such an elderly fashion.
      It put me off.
      Such things should be banned.

  3. @ Nivetidha,

I watched one episode of the “reality show (off)” ‘Rakhi ka swayamvar”. Trust me. It has been such a waste of time.

I watched the wimbledon final too. What a match! Andy has really come a long way. But federer was simply too good for him.

  5. @ manmohan Singh
    A. You are a cheap a******* cos you think women are just items that you can use in bed, probably even Rakhi Sawant would spit in your face if you said that.
    B. You should stop reading blogs cos I don’t think you know english at all.
So if you have nothing to say, just learn to shut up.
And I’d have to report you if you ever made such comments on my blog again.

  7. Niv, looks like it’s trolls all over. You so need to do comment moderation. But hehe the guy is posing himself as Manmohan Singh, or probably he is the Manmohan from the swayamvar himself. That is the reason he got angry on you.

If there was one thing about exams they used to make the outside world so much more interesting. Sitting in the house cooped up, cramming some subject into the weary brain, I used to look out through the window at the pigeons outside cooing leisurely, seemingly without a worry in the world, and envy them for not having exams!!
    LOLZZ

i think that sentence was too long but am too lazy to edit :)

Hehehe! Isn’t it so wonderful! I also have other bad habits like talking incessantly over the phone, which increases by atleast twice the amount during exam times!

I couldn’t agree more with you! I think we belong to the same genre of students!
